It has been way too long since I have posted a blog, but for a good reason. We have been super busy. We are so thankful to all of our customers who have made us a success in our first year in business. We hope all of you had an amazing thanksgiving and please remember us for your upcoming holiday events. We will once again have a cookie that benefits Mobile Loaves and Fishes coming up in the near future and if you have a fundraiser that we can help with do not hesitate to call.
We live in a fun city at Christmas Time. If you haven't already, take time to go to Cafe Mozart and watch the light show. Our family eats dinner at Hula Hut before hand and then walks down for the show. The Zilker Trail of Lights is always a good time but if you prefer a drive through Old Settlers has a great one. My Aunt has a live nativity in her yard in the Forest Creek Neighborhood on December 19th which includes the Christmas story and hot chocolate and live animals. My family also just likes to get in comfy clothes or pjs and ride around the neighborhood looking at the lights. My mom has been decorated since September. Our house looks like Christmas through up, but she loves it so we just go along with it and try not to be too embarrassed at the doorbell playing "We wish you a Merry Christmas."
Come by the store in December and there will surely be Holiday cookies galore and don't forget to get your orders in. We hope you have a Fun Filled Magically Sweet Holiday Season. Thank you again for being such great customers.
Wow! I can't believe Summer is almost gone. We have had the best Summer and are still celebrating summer. This week is Luau cookies and lots of other treats. Next week we will celebrate the Olympics. Lots more great cookies are to come. But unfortunately school is coming soon too. I remember moving to College Station and my roommates had a really sweet gift waiting for me. We decided to come up with an idea for College Move In Day. It is a cardboard suitcase filled with a dozen individually wrapped cookies and a travel mug. Let's face it move in day makes you hungry and thirsty and you can never find the box that has the food and mugs in it. We would love to help you out with that problem. It is a great way to send a child off to college or welcome a new roommate. Also if you want to get on a teachers good side give us a call and we can do some cute cookies for teachers.
We have had a wonderful summer full of cookies and we so appreciate all of your business. Get ready for more to come. Ideas are flowing. We would love to be a part of any occasion that you are celebrating. And as always have a Magically Sweet Day and please stop by and see us soon.
Thank you for making the week of the 4th of July a busy one! We really enjoyed making all the red white and blue cookies!
I was lucky enough to get to spend some time with my family at lake LBJ. It was fun and relaxing. My family, grandparents and aunt and uncle and cousins were all there.
As we go forward in the summer we are coming up with new ideas and also donating to some of our favorite charities. One of the charities we love being involved with is Mobile Loaves and Fishes. This is a great charity that donates food to the hungry right here in Austin, Texas. They take a food truck out to neighborhoods and schools. Whitney's Magical Treats has contributed cookies to a few of the truck runs and this past spring donated to the Noble Run that raised money for Mobile Loaves and Fishes. In the fall we are hoping to come up with a cookie, when it is sold, the proceeds will go to MLF. We will keep you posted.
This week we are focusing on Pets so come get your dog and cat cookies. Mom is trying to convince us to do Christmas in July cookies so we may have those as well. Thanks to all of our customers for trying all our new cookies and old favorites. We are truly blessed.
I am able to have a business that I dreamed of in a free country because of those that fought for our freedoms. As we celebrate with fireworks and good food, let's remember to thank those that serve our country! Have a wonderful 4th of July!!!!!
It is all about staying cool this week at the store. We have ice cream cone cookies, ice cream treats and back again by popular demand are our Finding Dory themed cookies. We are taking orders for Fourth of July. We have lots of ideas and it will be here before you know it so come in and place your order. if you don't get in on time to place an order, don't worry. We will have lots of patriotic cookies all next week and will have cute boxes for them if you need a hostess gift or treat to take to a party.
Believe it or not we are also starting to take large orders for the fall. Please think of us if you need party cookies, office events or just a late night pig out. We would love to be part of your events. Kate Bush is working on brochures for events and Sharon O'Connell is doing a great job of our social media campaign.
We promise to do our best to create whatever sort of cookie you want. We are working right now on getting a 3D printer so that any cookie shape you come up can be yours!!!!!
Thank you again for the incredible support. Please come see us. We love our customers!!!!!
It has been 6 months since my last blog. What an unbelievable 6 months. On April 27, 2016, Whitney's Magical Treats opened. Since then we have been super busy and it has been wonderful!
Thank you to everyone who has been there through this journey - please stop in and see us at 13776 N. Highway 183 Suite 139. We not only have custom sugar cookies but also all sorts of cookies and cake balls, and we are currently introducing some ice cream treats!
We are so blessed to have wonderful people working with us. Sharon O'Connell is our Social Media Manager. Eric Honeycutt, Sarah Biemer, Nathan Mitchell and Hunter Valk work the store and deliver our treats. Nathan will even deliver as a prince at a small extra fee. Kate Bush is joining us to do artwork for marketing and cookies. We are so excited about what is in store for Whitney's Magical Treats.
Eric also came up with the idea of celebrating the opening of movies this summer, so this week we have cookies to celebrate Disney's Finding Dory! Just Keep Eating!!!
I hope every day is Magically Sweet for you and if it isn't stop by and we will try to help with that.
This has been an amazing year! Although we are not in the store yet, our customers have been incredibly supportive! December was crazy busy so I am just now getting a chance to say Merry Christmas and Thank You!
We are hoping to be in the store by the end of January and have a grand opening in time for Valentines Day, but regardless of it that happens, we will have new Valentine Cookies and mini variety like we did for Christmas along with new Spring Cookies and containers. Please keep us in mind for any event you have. We will do our best to make and decorate any cookie you would like.
Thank you for your incredible support! Ya'll are the best!!!!!
Well we are still waiting on a permit from the city. Still hoping to open in October but even if we don't the cookies will still be baked. The children I used to nanny were blessed with a new baby sister last week. This cookie basket went out to their family. Please keep the cookie orders coming. I promise Whitney's Magical Treats will be open at some point in the near future.
Just got back from the lake and a fun family reunion. I was in charge of catering it. I had so much fun cooking and baking but I'm a little tired now.
Whitney's Magical Treats is being remodeled. The sign has been shipped and we are getting everything ready. I will let everyone know when the Grand Opening takes place. Thanks again for all of your support.
It has been a while since I have posted a blog for a very happy reason. I have been super busy. I have had the honor of doing cookies for; engagements, baby showers, birthday parties, fundraising events, Easter, and other wonderful events. It makes me so happy when my cookies make people happy.
I have also been busy with two new additions to my family. Hercules and Tarzan, two baby Chihuahuas. They are my 10 year old Chihuahua, Blondie's two new baby brothers. They are a lot of work but lots of fun.
Have a Magical Day and please think of me for your next event! I would love to be a part of your happy occasion.
My first really big order is ready to go out the door. 300 cookies wrapped and ready. Keep checking the website. I will be posting pictures of upcoming Easter, Wedding, Graduation and Summer Cookie ideas.
